Welcome
Hundred-Aker-Wood Pottery is a small, growing, dream-come-true
run by David (myself) with help from my wife Cherry. We are based
at Chickerell on the outskirts of Weymouth, overlooking the famous
Chesil Beach within the Dorset and East Devon World Heritage site.
We love the area, the views, the possibilities and most of all we
love pottery.
I am aiming through my stoneware pottery to introduce items for
sale that perhaps are not instantly or easily purchased. I have
a fondness for the functional, so I am increasingly devising new
items to make and bring to the ever demanding public.
The best selling items are on sale through this website using PayPal.
My bestseller so far has proved to be the Dorset Vertical Chicken
Roaster. With my roaster you can cook chicken the healthy way, the
tastiest way and the quicker way. You will be able to see a short
video on the chicken roaster.
As you meander through the site you will be able to find out what
thoughts I have on the pottery world, watch short clips of myself
making my pottery, see where I will be selling this coming year,
see details of the classes starting in 2009, book a pottery demonstration
for your local event or purchase a piece of Hundred-Aker-Wood pottery.
With my new portable electric wheel I will be travelling around
making my pottery whilst selling at some of the forthcoming shows,
fayres and festivals that I am attending. A full up to date list
is on the events page of this website. I am also available to enhance
your own event. If you would like a potter to demonstrate at your
future event then please contact me to discuss details.
